A manual for the laboratory is required. The latest printing of the Third Edition will be available in the campus bookstore, and in other bookstores that serve the university. The manual contains the sheets which you return to us with the results of your work, so you will need a new copy. You must have the manual before you come to the first lab class. Look for Introductory Astronomy Laboratory - Third Edition by John Kielkopf, published by Kendall/Hunt in 2007 with this cover. The image shows NGC 602, a cluster within a star-forming region in the Small Magellanic Cloud about 196,000 light years away. |
