Challenge Gift Announced to Acquire Research Computing Cluster

The Department of Physics and Astronomy received a generous $75,000 donation from Mr. Sam Lord toward acquiring a dedicated research computing cluster to enable more competitive and cutting-edge research in Physics and Astronomy. Mr. Lord, who is both a Physics student and a University benefactor, has now given an additional $75,000 with the intent of stimulating the giving of yet another $75,000 from Physics alumni and friends—for a potential total gift of $225,000—by June 30, 2017. Please join us in bringing this project to its full goal by making your gift or pledge to G2682 (Sam Lord Physics Gift Fund) here, or by contacting Development Officer Kathryn Sides, This email address is being protected from spambots.
