Stars form in dense cores embedded in molecular clouds. Although stars often form in binary or higher order multiple systems, the origin of stellar multiplicity is not certain. Here I present recent ALMA observations of dense, star-forming cores that may shed light on this mystery. I will also describe ALMA and the support services that NRAO provides for ALMA users.
