Welcome to the University of Louisville's SPS Homepage.

SPS in Chicago!
SPS recently visited the Windy City and while we were there we stopped by Fermi and Argonne National Labs.  For more pictures, you can go to the Chicago photo page here.  Chicago is one of the many places we have visited.  To find out where we will go next, just attend our weekly meetings on Fridays at noon in the Adams Room.

SPS is full of opportunities.  Not only have we visited Chicago, but also California where we toured SLAC, Lawrence Berkley, and Lawrence Livermore National  Labs.  We even took some time to see the sites in San Francisco.  This is just one example of the many benefits to joining SPS.

SPS would like to congratulate Dr. Brown for receiving the  national SPS Outstanding Chapter Advisor Award.  He recently received the award at the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) Winter Meeting    in Anchorage Alaska.  SPS would also like to thank Dr. Brown for his dedication to our local chapter.  You can find more information here

On September 24 we hosted the Zone 8 Regional Meeting with featured speaker, Leon Lederman recipient of the 1988 Nobel Prize in Physics. Find out what happened here.
