Before moving to the University of Louisville, I was a Research Assistant Professor at Northwestern University in the Department of Physics and Astronomy for six years, after first starting as a post-doctoral research associate with Professor David Meyer. Before this I worked at Goddard Space Flight Center for more than 2 years, first as a National Research Council Resident Research Associate, and then as an employee of Hughes STX Corporation. My days as a graduate student were spent in The University of Chicago's Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics, where I worked closely with Professors Lewis Hobbs, James Truran, and Donald York (who was my thesis advisor) among others; I also worked part-time as a system administrator for the departmental computing facilities.
